Engineer Jamal Al-Khawaja is the founder and driving force behind Al Khawaja Engineering Consultants (KWEC), with a professional journey spanning more than 40 years in civil engineering and consultancy. A graduate of Al-Basra University in Iraq, he established his career in the UAE in 1982 and has played a lasting role in the country’s engineering landscape ever since.

The Visionary Behind KWEC’s Success
Starting off with humble beginnings, Engineer Jamal Al Khawaja started off as a civil engineer who overlooked the design of supervision of over hundreds projects. Yet his expertise is not limited to civil engineering only as he is also technically involved in architectural and Mep design. Not only that, he also conducts feasibility studies and directly overlooks them to determine the efficiency of a project.

2002 —Hand Over of the First Major Project
The company completed its first large scale projects across Dubai, earning early recognition for quality and reliability in commercial, residential, and public designs.
2025 and Beyond — Leadership Position
Today, KWEC is recognized as a leading consultancy firm, collaborating with major authorities and developers, and known for excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.
2001 — Opening Dubai, Ajman License
KWEC established its presence in Dubai and obtained both Dubai and Ajman licenses, marking the official start of its operations in the UAE and laying a strong foundation for growth and expansion.
2010 — Expansion
KWEC broadened its services to include interior design, landscape architecture, and full project supervision, providing comprehensive solutions for every project.
